Brown students study 2010 R.I. flooding.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The historic flooding in Rhode Island that closed roads, washed out bridges and submerged houses in 2010 has made for a perfect case study for students at Brown University's Center for Environmental Studies.
Having assigned a handful of students to study the disaster in great detail, the center this week will hold a panel discussion and begin publicly releasing six reports on what caused the flooding and what can be done to prevent a reoccurrence in the future....
