As the Central Landfill fills up (and realize this mound can now be seen from Providence, several miles away), The Master Composter & Recycler Program is rising to the occasion. Sign up for the Spring 2007 Course. It's 6 Monday evenings, 6 pm to 8 pm, April 2 through May 7, with two Saturday sessions, to be held at the new Roger Williams Park Botanical Center in Providence.

Fee is $50. Participants are expected to fulfill a 30-hour volunteer commitment to earn the title of RI Master Composter & Recycler, which involves working on projects such as educational workshops and community activities to encourage recycling and composting. Learn about:
