Community Gardens in Providence are a growing concern these days. People in the Fox Point/Wayland/College Hill neighborhoods might be interested in contacting Sheri Griffin about plans for a community garden between Gano Street and the Seekonk River, just south of Power Street, the largest garden on the East Side. Plots are free, and as of May 3, when it was posted on the RI Future blog, were going quickly.
The Providential Gardener heard about plans for another community garden on Sessions Street in May. And of course, South Providence has the Southside Community Land Trust. Send more news on community garden developments to the Providential Gardener!
