I hope all is well. My name is Jill Austin and I’m the Special Events Coordinator at the Roger Williams Park Zoo. April is fast approaching and at the Zoo that means we’re getting ready for our Earth Day: Party for the Planet Celebration. We would love for you to be a part of it and help educate our guests about what they can do to help protect and care for the environment.
We’re looking for your group to staff a table representing your organization at our Environmental Fair on Sunday April 20th from 11am-3pm. Along with the fair that day, we will have entertainers, education stations, animal encounters, environmental artists, and much more to help convey our environmental message to the guests. If you are able to attend more information will follow regarding event setup, directions, etc...
We’re looking for something that will appeal to both children and adults. (For example: your informational materials would most likely relate to the adults and any kind of demonstrations, picture visuals, hands on components and/or giveaways would be great for children) I can also provide access to electricity if you want to show a DVD or bring a computer for display. This is one of our most highly attended events of the year and a great opportunity for you to spread the word about your organization to our guests.
Please respond at your earliest convenience and let me know if you’re interested. If you are able to participate it would be helpful if you could me give a brief description of what your table setup will be like. (i.e. What materials will you be bringing?, Will you have giveaways for children?, Will there be a hands on or demonstration component?, and anything else you feel would help to explain how you will be involved in our Earth Day event) I will be able to provide tables and chairs for all participating organizations.
